The person behind the soap

Hi, I’m Heather—the hands (and heart) behind AK Elemental Soap. What started as a post AP exam project has blossomed into a new passion project. I bring the same creativity and attention to detail to every small-batch bar as I do to my lesson plans; carefully choosing ingredients and crafting designs that are beautiful, thoughtful, and made to delight.

When I’m not in my soap kitchen, you can usually find me lost in a good book, knitting, walking my dogs, or hitting the trails on my fat-tire bike. Making soap is my way of blending creativity, science, and a little everyday joy, and I’m thrilled to share it with you.
